Dr Marc Corbeels is a senior researcher at the Centre for International Cooperation in Agricultural Research for Development (CIRAD) in the field of soil fertility management and modelling of cropping systems, and since 2010 seconded to the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (Embrapa-Cerrados) in Brasilia. He has worked for almost 15 years in the tropical regions of Africa and Brazil. He holds a PhD in agronomy from the University of Gent, Belgium and worked as a post-doctoral fellow at CSIRO, Perth, Australia.
