ABOUT THE PROJECT The ARISE project aims to use benchmarking as a tool to stimulate innovation and technology policies. The project is to develop a mechanism to detect, measure and satisfy innovation needs expressed by the economic actors; to establish inter-regional comparisons based on qualitative and quantitative indicators; and to build interregional innovation system networks among the participating regions. Common
methodologies for analysing and assessing RIS impact on regions?
competitiveness, creativity, attractiveness and quality of life will be
designed, which will also serve to analyse the impact of some RIS key
components such as clusters, support to SMEs and technology transfer.
Bearing this in mind, the ARISE partnership will agree on a series of
quantitative and qualitative tools to be tested, such as innovation
